Random death

Every day I ask to die. I want to sleep and not wake up. Yet everyday I watch the news and see so many people whose lives are taken by some random event. They had no choice. Did they ask to die? There is no justice in life and even less in death.

I posted my brother a birthday card, three days early, 1st class post. Because of the snow it got there a day late! I thought I had given it enough time. But it had crossed my mind it would have been better to post it ridiculously early.

I told my step mum that it had not got there on time, feeling bad. She said that she had thought that it would have been better to have posted it earlier. No sympathy, no room for, "Well we're only human." No, just, "I told you so, without actually telling you!"

Rear wheel Drive

Why is it that when I mentioned rear wheel drive cars, my dad thinks I want to hear him try to remember every car he's ever owned? And why is it that he would never let me stand there and bore him with trying to remember a list like that?
